Friends with Benefits was such a cute movie! I love watching New York City come to life on the big screen in upbeat movies like this and I love getting fresh style ideas at the same time!

The outfit she wore for in the "we just decided to be friends/ now we're picking up other people" scene was just the right balance between relaxed and dressy. Her gladiator heels really make the outfit and I love how the pieces get more relaxed on the way up. Tres Unique!!

It's been quite awhile since I've been out of the country, let alone out of the state! So naturally I've been longing for an adventure...

Although I'm not really ready for a trip right now, I figure a little harmless day dreaming and planning couldn't hurt anyone!:)

Since there's been a lot of conversations from friends and my boyfriend about Thailand, I decided to familiarize myself with the country and learn about their culture. So far, I've found so many beautiful pictures and have read so many stories that I'm completely intrigued.

The highlight of what I've seen so far is the Lantern Festival, It's such a gorgeous and thought provoking thing to see! To be able to experience that in person would be absolutely amazing!

Monday Madewell Must Haves

I don't know about you but I'm grasping on to every bit of the summer I can! 

Fall lines are right on schedule and creeping up in stores and online but I'm doing my best not to look too closely at them for a couple more weeks :)

CUP Cakes!

After dinner and in the middle of our bottle of Barbara D'Asti, my boyfriend and I were having a serious chocolate craving! The half eaten box of See's chocolates I had in the refrigerator were soo not what we wanted so I went through my cupboards to see what I could make. Luckily I found everything I needed for Chocolate Cupcakes! Recipe here. 

After all the egg breaking and flour measuring I was ready to put the cupcake cups in the pan and fill em up with the chocolate yummy-ness! Problem, I couldn't find it the pan! I left it at my Mom's a couple weeks ago and now had all this delicious batter and nothing to bake them in! 

I thought for a little bit and grabbed my Martha Stewart Cupcake Cookbook because I thought I had remembered seeing cupcakes in teacups in it. There they were... so cute... and although I was skeptical of the oven safety with my teacups, I took the risk! Here they are.. with a See's chocolate surprise in the center!

chocolate cravings were cured,  teacups were sparred and sprinkles were used!

Bright summer days often lead to calm balmy nights... and since this was the first year I had switched to flannel sheets for the Winter, I became WELL aware of the importance of changing to Summer bedding!

I chose a light peachy color to go with my lavender duvet and pillow shams and changed to a light weight blanket for in between the 2. It's an amazing feeling to climb into bed with light and crisp summer linens covering you!

My light peach sheet set is a simple solid but these prints are so cheerful it makes me look forward to next Spring!

I've been seeing denim in the cutest pastel hues lately! It's such a sweet look for summer and can be worn SO easily with a basic top and simple sandals.
I love, LOVE the Current/Elliots in yellow... So I think I'm gonna have to get my booty over to Anthropologie or Nordstrom and try them on!

If Pastel Denim isn't doing it for you... You can wear a pair of white denim with a pastel hued top and you can still get the fresh and breezy look!

Emily Maynard's Interview Style

It was sad to watch her get choked up about her and Brad's break-up... but you'll be happy to know I pulled together some pieces from the outfit she wore!

Her heels were just a little more brown than these Jessica Simpson pumps but a nude color helps to elongate your legs in the lace mini-skirt. 

The necklace she wore was so elegant! I couldn't get a link to the exact one (I heard she may have found it while on a helicopter date with Brad!) but here's one from Nordstrom that's super pretty too!

Put a ring on it!

Rings are my favorite things to accessorize with! Nail Polish and Handbags coming in at a close 2nd...:)

I have a couple staples I change out every day or so but it's also nice to add some creativity with a cocktail ring, a stackable set or a two-finger ring when the occasion seems right.

Suprises with Flowers

I came home from work yesterday to these beautiful long stem roses sitting on my kitchen counter! It was such a sweet surprise since the night before I'd been gushing after them while my boyfriend and I were shopping... :) I guess whatever I did worked, haha! Aren't they such a pretty summery color!? 

Anyway! I put them in a vase on my coffee table.... and this is how I did it!
